I am about to install my slate ledger stone on an interior wall. I am not sure if I really need the backer board since its a dry area. (bar area wall- about 33 sft) The stone ledger panels I am using are about 5.5 lbs each. Will I have any issues with this weight? I plan on using a polymer based thinset.. strongest I can find. Any thoughts?
